Tennessee Nuclear Family Month

WHEREAS...

the nuclear family, consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children, is God's design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world... 

the nuclear family is God's perfect design for humanity and is aligned with the long-held traditional values of Tennessee...

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE CONCURRING, that we join with the citizens of Tennessee in designating the month of June 2026 as "Nuclear Family Month" and commend the noble endeavors of those who seek to protect and strengthen the traditional values of our State and country.

In April 2026, HJR 0182, sponsored by Rep. Bud Hulsey, was signed by Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee. It recognizes the essential nature of the family, comprised of a husband, a wife, and any children the Lord may bless them with. When calendar flips to June 1 in Tennessee, Nuclear Family Month starts: a celebration of God's good order, the nurturing of the generations and fellowship between family members, and encouragement to live into the callings of marriage, fatherhood, motherhood, and childhood.
