I Stand With True Israel
Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
Galatians 3:7-9
The flag is familiar. The central charge is not. Where the Star of David once stood, the Jerusalem Cross now rightly claims the field. It is a declaration of what (and Who) stands at the true center.
For Christians, “Israel” is the story of God’s covenant people, the promises made to Abraham, and the faithful Son who fulfilled them all. Christ, coming and living perfectly and dying on the cross for the sins of His elect has secured every promise by His blood. Today and always, His Church is the true Israel. He is the obedient one, the suffering servant, the firstborn from the dead. All who are united to Him by faith are grafted into that same story. That is the Israel we stand with, and who should be our greatest ally.
In an age when “I stand with Israel” signifies geo-political alliances, this pin boldly refuses the shallow version. It is not a blank check for any policy. It is a confession: the Cross defines the people of God: it always has and it always will. The Jerusalem Cross itself has long spoken of the five wounds of Christ and the Gospel going to the four corners of the earth. Here it boldly stands, historic, and unapologetically Christian.
We are not confused about our first allegiance. We stand with the true Israel, the one marked by the blood of the Lamb and the victory of the risen King. Fight for the true Israel; protect the true Israel at all costs.
